Useful Tips, Tables & How-Tos

What monsters drop shells and what parts?

Originally (pre–Fire Drake), shells dropped from unique monsters (bosses, Orc Bandit Officers; likely Centaurs & Isiloon). After the Fire Drake expansion, shells can also drop from:

Post–Fire Drake Shell Sources

Troll Shamans
Apostles of Cold / Flame
Titans, Evil Wizards, Eidolons, Balrogs
Bearded Ruminants & other strong new mobs

About Compounding Accessories

Uniques (failsafe to +3)

Requires 3× of the same accessory + Compound Scroll (Charon).
Grade 0 = never-upgraded unique.
+1: 3× base • +2: 9× base • +3: 27× base.
+4: 81× • +5: 243× (failure possible ≥ +4).

Ordinary Accessories (not failsafe)

Can fail at any step (e.g., +5 → +6).
After +10 you can add a second stat via scroll (becomes (+1) with mixed stats).
Common route: start from +6 → +7/+8/+9/+10 needing 3/9/27/81× of +6.

Experience Points by Level

Level → total EXP required. Note: EXP penalty begins at Lv 61 (you gain half EXP per kill).

Losing Experience in Colony Zone

If you die to towers or mobs in Bowl and need a res, relog to Server 2, then back to Server 1 to respawn in town (Piana/Breth).

Prevent Unwanted Resurrection

Problem

Random res (e.g., 4-stone) before your 30-stone priest arrives → big EXP loss.

Workarounds

Delete-slot trick: After you die, drag your stones to the delete slot and do not confirm. Others can’t res you; click “No” when your resser arrives.
Legacy method with separate 1-stone slot (pre-KE) no longer reliably works after KE.

How to Craft HP Potions (Priest)

Requirements: Priest with 60 Heal, Prayers of Favors (Sundries), Holy Water.
Talk to the Great Priest in your nation’s town; output quantity scales with ingredients.
Cost-effective: 720 HP pots cost ~2.5k to make vs. 7k at NPC.

How to Make Shields with Resistances

Use an Immune Scroll on an upgradable shield to add Fire & Glacier resistance.
Like armors, only one bonus type per item.

National Points & Clan Grades

Clan Grade Requirements (Total NP of all members)

Grade 4 — 72,000 NP
Grade 3 — 144,000 NP
Grade 2 — 360,000 NP
Grade 1 — 720,000 NP

Abyss / Hell Abyss Access Notes

Enter Delos via Moradon gate (usually Server 1). Abyss is accessed from Delos.
Older trick to switch servers while in Abyss may be limited on USKO.
Alternative path: Dragon Marble (drops from Isiloon Servants) → Teleport Gate → “Go to Dragon Cave” → relog → exit to Abyss. Beware: mobs are very aggressive; Transformation Scroll recommended.

How to Get to Hell Abyss

Acquire Key of Hell from Black Widows (Abyss floors 6–7).
Use the Teleport Gate and choose Teleport to Hell Abyss.

Damage Depends on Stats & Weapons

Warrior = STR • Rogue = DEX • Priest = STR • Mage = MP.
Weapon AP & element add on top of class stat scaling.
PvP Exception: Mage damage scales with base MP and staff only; MP from items doesn’t increase PvP damage → prefer HP gear for PK.

Priest & Weapons (Penalties)

Spears & swords: heavy damage penalty for Priests.
Level 60 Master removes the sword penalty.
Clubs/Maces have no penalty → best for Battle Priests.

Undying (HP Strategy)

Buffer skill (Aura/Ecstasy): +60% of total HP.
Great for bosses & leveling if base HP ≥ ~2500 (60% of 2500 = 1500, similar to 1500 HP buff).

Manual Updating (USKO)

If launcher fails, patches can be applied manually from the official FTP (historical method).
Extract files to KO folder and set server.ini version to the latest applied patch.

Communication Shortcuts (KO-specific)

++++++ – Buffs please (HP/AC)
RB / RE – Rebuff (cancel then rebuff)
FM – Fresh Mind (Priest resists); LR/FR/GR/IR – Mage resists
>>>>>> – Swift please; RS – Reswift
666666 – Summon me (Mage); ESC – Party Escape (to town)
555555 – Enemy incoming (PvP)
